Welcome to West Delaware

Meghan re-shelves hundreds of books weekly and maintains extremely accurate records and a pleasant demeanor with a multitude of requests throughout the day. Thank you for all your hard work, including help with classes (floating in to computer lab to see if assistance is needed), reinforcing rules (an echo of instruction that provides a ‘fresh voice’ when classes and I need it), and most recently, prepping for inventory and weeding several stacks of books. This takes consistency and the awareness of what is needed to keep the library flowing!

Mrs. Goldsmith is a wonderful teacher and respects the abilities of her students. She teaches students to think more about what they believe and is open to honest feedback. It is a gift to work with her!!

Every day during 3rd block he makes sure to check in on all the students and see how they are doing,” one student says. “You can tell he is genuine with every word he says and he truly cares about the well being of all students. Mr. Green has a truly amazing heart and a wonderful character. I’m glad West Delaware is able to have wonderful teachers like him!

I am fortunate to have Jeanette in my classroom as a 1 on 1 associate. She not only is caring, helpful, and has the best interest of her own student she is assigned to, but she goes above and beyond and is available for all of the students in my classroom. She notices things she can do to help myself and the classroom run smoothly. She will happily assist in any way that I ask her to. I appreciate having her in my classroom very much.

Mrs. Hunt goes above and beyond for her students. She is always pushing them to be the best version of themselves and maintains open communication with parents!

My daughter loves Mrs. Funke as a math teacher. She takes students’ interests and runs with them. She sees everyone at their own skill level and helps them learn. ‘She is a really great math teacher,’ according to my 7th grader.

He makes Global Studies so easy. I’m glad I get the chance to have Mr. King again after 7th grade. He always keeps us working and on our toes. He laughs with us at the stuff our classmates say, and he never yells at us when we don’t work/pay attention. He keeps the class focused and is always available to help. I just wanted to say THANK YOU MR. KING!!

Linda and Jen are the faces of Lambert! They always greet children and parents with the same enthusiasm and compassion.

My students were building graphs today in chemistry. They knew how to do it right away because of their unit in Statistics. Thank you, Tammy! The work you are doing is effective, and they are retaining the information. You are a ROCKSTAR!
