Welcome to West Delaware! 

We pride ourselves on building relationships, offering challenging academic programs, and ensuring our students walk out our doors prepared for any postsecondary option they choose! The results speak for themselves, as Lambert Elementary and West Delaware Middle School were both recently named among the best schools in the state by US News and World Report. 

We strive to offer something for everyone! This includes 18 athletic opportunities. In the past five years, we have produced seven state team titles and two runner-ups. In addition to success in athletics, we are proud of our 11 FFA members earning their Iowa degree and our 16 All State vocalists over the past few years alone.  

The West Delaware community understands that it takes a village to maintain the rich tradition our district has built. Our families, community members, and business partners support our desire to continuously improve so that we can provide the best possible opportunities for our students. They are invaluable partners in our pursuit of excellence.

Our teachers and staff are second to none. We benefit from an 89% staff retention rate, and our highly qualified teachers care deeply about our students and work tirelessly to ensure their needs are met. Their hard work and dedication is evidenced by 82% of our students achieving proficiency in English Language Arts, as measured by the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Progress (ISASP).

West Delaware CSD serves the communities of Dundee, Greeley, Manchester, Masonville, and Ryan. We have 100% air conditioned facilities and recently completed $38 million in renovations that have resulted in state-of-the-art learning spaces for career and technical education and the fine arts.

West Delaware schools are located in the city of Manchester, conveniently located on Highway 20. We are a quick drive to Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, or Cedar Falls/Waterloo. For more information on our area take a look at this video.
